MyWay takes a unique approach to the physician interface and documentation methodology, as well as the underlying architecture. This allows the system to be portable, secure, and completely integrated between clinical and administrative functions.

MyWay's time-saving design begins on the desktop, which provides a flexible, personalized glimpse into each person's day. MyWay brings together the tasks and information most important to each individual staff member, creating to-do lists and simplifying communications.
The desktop is easy for each user to configure with lots of windows or just a few. Powerful MyWay message filters, which allow staff to sort on as many criteria as they wish, can display a variety of information or tasks, such as
- Patient appointments for the day (color-coded by status), even multiple schedules for different sites or practice groups
- Lab and/or radiology results (urgent, routine, and/or low priority)
- Patient waiting list
- Aging collections sorted by days past due, insurer, last name, etc.
- Internal messages
- Microsoft Outlook
- MyWay online help button providing one-click access to live Allscripts support; and
- Any website, from a Google weather thumbnail to the NEJM homepage
